To climb the attic, you can be content with an ordinary ladder. But if the attic room under the roof is a living attic, then it should be abandoned from the “temporary woman” – only a stationary staircase is needed here, t.to. She will have to use it several times a day.
The easiest option is marching staircase. It will not be difficult to make it with your own hands. The main thing is to understand the principle of this “designer”: between the two boards (or on several bars), the stages are fixed. For the reliability of walking along the marching ladder, it is also equipped with railing, which can simultaneously play the role of decorative decoration.
Start installing marching stairs with the choice of material for supporting structural elements. It doesn’t matter if you will put a step on Kosuurs or insert a bowstring into the grooves, the supporting should be quite durable. If the staircase is wooden, then only solid wood of wood should be chosen as a building material.
Suppose you opted for fastening the steps between the bowstring. Fix the lower parts of the bowstring on the floor with the help of metal corners or cut the support directly into the floor. After that, proceed to the fastening of the upper part of the bowstring (either to the wall or to the ceiling of the lower floor, or to the attic site).
The grooves in the bowstring should be made so that the steps are tightly entered and do not stagger at the load on them.
At the standard height of the room, it is enough to install the staircase on one march. The higher the staircase, the more advisable it is to alive the steps with transition sites (marches), under each of them installing support beams.
If the height of the floor is quite large, and the space highlighted under the lifting staircase is insignificant, more reasonable to install the staircase of the screw. In this version, each march is slightly shifted along the axis, “curling” the stairs in a spiral. In this case, the spans between the marches can be small (from 2 to 5 steps).
